Cinco de Mayo is one of the most underrated holidays in America – in my opinion, it might as well be a national holiday. The perfect celebration of South-of-the-border culture and tradition is what you’re aiming for when throwing your party. Here are 5 ways you can knock your Cinco de Mayo party out of the park.
5. Make these shredded chicken tacos
We tested out the recipe, and they’re pretty phenomenal. Plus, you can make them the night before in the slow cooker, keeping you focused on more important things like who to invite to your awesome Cinco de Mayo party.
4. Homemade salsa
It MUST be homemade! No exceptions. There are plenty of recipes that you can follow online, but we love this Salsa Cruda recipe from Food Wishes. After you’ve made this recipe once, you’ll be making it all the time, trust me.
3. Top shelf tequila
If you need some advice on which tequila is right for your party, be sure to watch the video above. Corralejo is a great option under $50.
2. Know your music
